Hi! I’m Karthika (She/Her)

About me : My background in multidisciplinary design has created a solid foundation in recognizing tech as a potential mechanism for good. I pivoted to UX design to help drive social change and build progressive communication via user centric and meaningful design experiences.

I have worked at small, medium, and large-sized companies and early startups as one of the founding and first few product designers. I am fueled by solving problems that meet the needs of the people, the technology, and the business.

Most recently, I was a product designer at Prenda, a mission-driven edtech startup focused on learner empowerment. At Prenda, I played a key role in designing user experiences that align with our mission to empower learners and create impactful educational tools.

At the core of my design practice, I prioritize people

My design philosophy is to design by empathising and understanding the diversity in language, culture, environment, resources, abilities, and devices. I care deeply about accessibility and inclusivity.

Outside of work 🎨

When I am not designing, you’ll most likely find me wandering at some art/history musuem or hiking to see a new wildflower. I take classes on modern artists for kids. I am learning how to make a perfect sushi roll.
